Freed...

Listening to their taunts was an everyday affair of her life .

Though she rolled down tears in the initial days but then she realized , a time comes when people and their unwanted blabber just ceases to exist any more .

“ What do you think of yourself and how dare you take a decision like that even without consulting us ? “ they asked displaying annoyance .

A single glance at their uninvolved faces and right there someone squalled from inside “ Just do it “.

Lifting the bag in her frail  hands , she set her foot out , finally after two decades , not only breaking off her worldly ties but also getting herself freed .

Here Comes My First Blog Award !!!

I discovered a hidden poet in myself when in class 4 we all were asked to submit articles for the school magazine .
The idea of seeing my name published filled joy in my heart and jumping with happiness I came back home . But confused I sat down and thought what should I write .
My loving mother came to my rescue  asking me to write a small poem about anything that interests me . Being a nature lover I scribbled down a poetry titled “ Nature “ and it did get published too .
That’s how it started , my journey with words traversing through diaries ,magazines  , competitions , websites and finally bringing me her into this amazing world of blogs .

I had first started blogging in 2011 but due to the demanding nature of my graduation , I could not do justice to that .
Though I wanted to come back but somehow it was not becoming possible
And finally in 2013 I decided to start afresh again .
Scribbling down my feeling about life and it’s mystical ways . I felt as if this is what I had been missing all these years .

My first award for a particular post came through on a Tangy Tuesday and next as a Spicy Saturday by Blog Adda . My weekend did get a WOW recently . And how can I forget the Write Tribe Festival and Five Sentence Fiction . They brought out the story writer in me which I never imagined I could ever do .

And now I got my first blog award !!!

Faith....

A whimsical step by my father pushed us into the dark lanes of extreme poverty .
Surrendering our lives into the clutches of fate that seemed to have seized us in it’s fist .

Those days of hardships made me feel , as if it was a trap for the lifetime .

The starved faces of my family coerced me to agree to every disagreeable proposal even though it demanded me to sell my body .

And just then she appeared , my old headmistress , an unexpected visitor inside our dingy single room , offering me a job at my school and restoring my faith on humanity .

Employed...

The bell kept on ringing but he hesitated to open the door , irritated his mother came from the kitchen throwing an angry glance at him .

He swiftly moved out of his home , not wanting to answer their questions again that repeatedly scathed him , giving nothing but an unrelenting pain .

Quietly he sat on the banks of the river that had embraced dejected souls like him over decades , who come , tired of facing this cruel world that judges people with results and never efforts .

Present day…..“ I would always be indebted to you Sir for giving an opportunity to a fresher like me “ said the new recruit in a thankful voice .

“ Don’t be son , just do your work with dedication , I know very well the pangs of not being employed “ replied the founder of the organization in a humble tone .

Distance....

Moving on wasn’t possible so they decided not to .

It was not going to work out owing to their professional demands which traversed in different directions argued their families .

Still they persisted and tied the knot , with dissatisfaction brewing mildly in the background .

Trying hard every day to keep their personal and professional life balanced ,  they continued to walk together being each others support in every circumstance , though staying apart .

Today when they sit back relaxing over the weekend , reading a newly released novel or enjoying one of the latest movies , a gentle breeze passes by soothing their soul as if reverberating in silence , “ distances do not tie up people but commitment does “ .

As you all know friends I really love Happy Endings so here comes another write up with the same theme and the same characters but a different end :) Hope you like it....
