Chopping Board...

Life took a refreshing start when a small town girl married that perfect bachelor she met on a matrimonial site .
Little did she knew that imperfections would creep in so soon invading her dream life .

“30 years and not a single day had I demanded anything and in two days she needs a chopping board for cutting vegetables , huh “ screamed her mother in law from the other side of the receiver , reminding her of her origins .

“ Come back to us , I will see them “ said her enraged father .

He sat down on the sofa staring blankly at the chopping board that remained untouched , days after his wife stepped out leaving him behind .

For the day of letter " C "

  12. Well done! So sweet, so sad, profound. It's almost like Haiku. You are a very good writer. I do hope this is not a personal memory. That would be too painful.
